Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf declared on Wednesday that data suggests that Iran's enemies are "preparing an operation to occupy" one of its islands.
In a post on X, Ghalibaf stated that the operation is being planned "with the support of one of the countries in the region." Moreover, the official warned that Iran's armed forces are tracking "all enemy movements," adding that "if they take even a single step, all vital infrastructure of that regional country will be targeted without limitation by relentless attacks."
His statement coincides with reports of the US deploying thousands of troops to the Middle East, with rumors circulating that they could be involved in the attempt to take control of one of the Iranian islands in the Persian Gulf.
