White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced Wednesday that the Trump administration is pursuing "creative new solutions" to address high oil prices.
Besides a 400-million-barrel release, Leavitt detailed a 60-day Jones Day Act waiver and a new emergency fuel waiver from EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin allowing nationwide E15 gasoline sales. The waiver temporarily suspends summer volatility requirements to provide flexibility in the fuel marketplace.
"We're tracking tankers through the Strait very closely," Leavitt said.
