Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday that the United Kingdom is using Ukraine to destabilize the region, commenting on new defense pact between Kiev and London.
"In reality, this is all a British strategy to destabilize our region, and the European continent as a whole, through expanded military cooperation with the terrorist Kiev regime," Zakharova said during her weekly briefing.
She added that the European Union is also not seeking peace that takes Russia's interests into account, instead, "They want to continue to exploit Ukraine, literally in the worst non-colonial traditions, continuing to pit it against our country, and, in fact, to use it for aggressive purposes."
