United States Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff insisted on Thursday that there are "strong signs" pointing to a "possibility" that a deal on Iran's nuclear status could be reached.
Speaking during a Cabinet meeting at the White House, chaired by President Donald Trump, Witkoff noted that achieving an agreement would be "great for the country of Iran, the entire region, and the world at large."
Moreover, Witkoff claimed that Iran is "looking for an off-ramp" from the US and Israel's campaign against it, while also trying to stall the negotiations. He confirmed that Washington delivered the proposed 15-point plan for the deal to Tehran, and urged it "not to miscalculate again."
