US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent warned Thursday that countries maintaining ties with Tehran risk accelerating their own economic decline, as he reposted President Donald Trump’s announcement of a new economic operation against Iran.
“Any remaining tie to Tehran will hasten a nation’s economic oblivion, whether that tie be purposefully constructed or willfully ignored,” Bessent wrote on X.
