Organizers in Abu Dhabi have canceled a Christina Aguilera concert and a music festival headlined by Shakira amid the ongoing Iran war, AFP reported.
The Offlimits festival, scheduled for November, said it had been canceled and that ticket holders would be refunded.
“We look forward to bringing the OFFLIMITS community together again in 2027,” a message on the festival website said, without giving a reason for the cancellation.
Ticketmaster also said Aguilera’s Sept. 25 concert had been canceled, without announcing a new date, according to Emirati media.
The UAE said Tuesday it was halting all trade and financial transactions with Iran “in light of regional escalations that undermine regional and international peace and security.”
The cancellations come after Iran stepped up attacks on Emirati ships in recent weeks following the collapse of a ceasefire last month. The UAE also faced its first missile attack in months on Tuesday, with both missiles falling harmlessly into the water.
