Crude oil prices for front-month contracts grew on Wednesday as continued uncertainty over the Strait of Hormuz fueled concerns over regional supply, keeping prices near a three-week high.
The growing tensions in the region fueled the price increase after Yemen warned that Houthis could try to seize the Strait of Bab al-Mandeb.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for September deliveries added 1.23% to sell at $86.40 a barrel. Brent for October settlements rose 1.36% to go for $92.30 per barrel.
