The shares of the American pharmaceutical company Moderna, Inc. continued their upward trajectory on Wednesday after the company reported a major breakthrough for its personalized mRNA cancer vaccine combined with Merck.
The late-stage trial showed that combining Moderna's experimental vaccine, intismeran autogene, with Merck's Keytruda significantly improved recurrence-free survival in high-risk melanoma patients compared to Keytruda alone.
Moderna's stock more than doubled, adding 120.22% to go for $138.65 per share at 9:54 am ET.
