Latvia: Drone downed was of Ukrainian origin

 Latvia's Armed Forces announced on Thursday that the drone downed in the country's airspace on August 14 was of Ukrainian origin.

The military clarified that the drone had been shot down near Rugaji in the Balvi region after entering Latvian airspace from Belarus. Furthermore, it was assumed the drone wandered into the Baltic nation's airspace due to Russian electromagnetic warfare interference.

"Electromagnetic warfare agents can disrupt communications, navigation, and targeting of military systems, thereby making it difficult or, in some cases, even preventing the use of precision weapons," the army concluded.
