Oil jumps over 2% after Saudi pipeline shutdown

Oil prices jumped well over 2% after Saudi Arabia shut down its key East-West pipeline, following a drone attack from Iraq that damaged the supply route.

Meanwhile, a meeting between Iran and the Gulf states on the Strait of Hormuz, originally set for Monday, has been postponed, with Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi saying the delay was in the "interests of consensus."

Brent futures rose 2.8% to go for $107.60 per barrel at 6:04 pm ET. At the same time, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) went up 2.6% to sell for $102.67 per barrel.
