The National Platform for Early Warning in Emergency Situations issued an urgent alert in Riyadh after reports of the Houthi group launching ballistic missiles toward the Saudi capital.
"Immediately proceed to the nearest safe place inside a building or an interior room away from windows and stay there until the danger has passed," authorities urged in the statement.
Saudi Civil Defense Directorate has since stated that the danger has passed, but advised residents to "completely avoid gathering in groups and taking photos."
