Chinese Premier Li Qiang condemned US and Israeli attacks on Iran and reiterated Beijing’s opposition to unilateral US sanctions during a meeting with Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref in Tajikistan on Monday, Iran’s state news agency IRNA reported.
Li described the attacks as “blatant aggression” carried out during negotiations and without UN Security Council authorization, according to the report.
He also expressed support for reviving the Islamabad Agreement and said Beijing would continue supporting what he called Iran’s legitimate rights in international forums.
Aref was in Dushanbe to attend a meeting of prime ministers from Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states.
