Saudi Arabia decided to postpone its Future Investment Initiative to 2027 following escalating drone and missile attacks by Houthi militants.
The decision, reported by CNBC citing an email from organizers, was taken after reports that Riyadh was looking to move the conference online. The flagship 'Davos in the desert' event was originally scheduled for October 26 to October 29 in the Saudi capital, and was set to feature representatives from major financial institutions, including JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Blackstone, BlackRock, and Citigroup.
Organizers indicated that new dates for the conference will be communicated soon.
