Musk sees Optimus becoming world's 'biggest product'

 Tesla Inc. CEO Elon Musk, the world's richest man, claimed that no other company comes close to Tesla in developing a general-purpose humanoid robot.

"I remain convinced that Optimus will be the biggest product on Earth," Musk said during the company's earnings call, adding that humanoid robotics could become the world's largest product category.

Musk said Tesla had begun early Optimus production at its Fremont factory, with most of the equipment needed to manufacture one million robots annually already in place. He added the company expects deliveries to companies outside Tesla potentially beginning toward the end of 2027.
