Iran's mission to the United Nations in Vienna accused Washington of using its Rewards for Justice programme to recruit accomplices for attacks on Iranian nuclear scientists and facilities, warning that those who provide information could face legal consequences.
“The US new so-called REWARD FOR JUSTICE is actually recruiting ACCOMPLICE FOR CRIME,” the mission wrote on X, citing past assassinations of Iranian scientists and attacks on nuclear facilities.
It warned that governments, international organisations, including the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and individuals who knowingly provided information facilitating such attacks could face legal responsibility.
“A bounty neither erases complicity nor brings immunity. ACCOUNTABILITY will follow,” it said.
The post included a graphic showing 18 people whom Iran identified as scientists killed in attacks.
