"Can’t anyone here play this game?” lamented Casey Stengel, trying to manage the New York Mets in their first season.
Beset by errors and blunders, Casey is claimed to have said, “This makes a man think. You look up and down the bench, and you say to yourself, ‘Can’t anybody here play this game?’” Some claim that Jimmy Breslin, for his book about the amazing Mets, polished up Casey’s language. That was 1962, and Casey also said it was amazing how many ways the amazing Mets found to lose.
Yes, I am thinking of elections, and that old Texas saying: “If you can do it, it ain’t bragging!”
This is the opposite of former President Obama asserting on a podcast that he could have beaten Trump in the 2016 election. He made that brag on David Axelrod’s podcast just a couple months after Hillary Clinton lost to DJT, shocking the elites.
Lets jump back into now, where I gotta admit, I was puzzled to see a strong up stock market on November 4, following a Marxian turn leftward by the electorate, but President Trump explained it to me with this notification to White House subscribers:
Stock Market just hit another
Record High - 91 Days in just a short period of time - Less than two years. Your 401(k)s are through the roof.
Record Setting All! President
DONALD J. TRUMP
November 4, 2026
Confusion clouded my thoughts even more on the very next day, as stock prices took a noticeable dive, but the man I voted for three times sent me this:
The Stock Market crashed today because the Dumocrats had a big
Tuesday - So sad to see, you only have yourselves to blame! President DONALD J.
TRUMP
November 5, 2026
Does he think the Democrats choose to receive notifications?
Perplexity had me for sure puzzling that through: up, down, who, why, and just what exactly’s going on here where things aren’t exactly clear?
But to the rescue came another notification:
I JUST WASN’T ON THE BALLOT. IF I WERE, WE WOULD HAVE WON IN A LANDSLIDE! President
DONALD J. TRUMP
November 5, 2026
He’s not bragging, I guess, because he’s won some big games, as goes the Texas adage, but I can’t wait for us all to be dancing in that better ballroom, or something.
Time to adjust our rosters and batter lineup...and oh, yes, practice, practice, practice.
