Novartis halts pelacarsen development for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease after Phase 3 Lp(a) HORIZON shows no benefit

  • Phase 3 Lp(a) HORIZON trial showed no reduction in heart attacks, strokes or cardiovascular deaths.
  • Novartis will continue only one mid-stage pelacarsen study in calcific aortic valve stenosis.
