Boston mayor handing out $575 'scholarship' for illegals to learn how to harass the government

A couple years ago, radio commentator and investigative reporter Howie Carr exposed the long, long, list of free goodies illegals get in Massachusettes, from housing and food, to medical and dental, to same-day dry cleaning, housekeeping twice a week, cellphones and tablets, winter coats, toiletries, tax preparation, attorneys, WIC cash, Uber rides, luggage, new beds, kitchen ranges, sofa-loveseats, towels, cutlery, plates, life coaches, holiday parties, ESl classes, notaries, parenting classes, hotel stays, U-Haul boxes,and more.

Now they're getting even more, according to a report from Libs of TikTok:

The government is paying them to ... harass the government. And they call it 'scholarship.'

According to MassDailyNews, a reputable site which has an excellent detailed report:

BOSTON — Boston is paying immigrants $575 apiece to complete a 10-week course in political organizing, with no legal-status check on applicants and native-born US

Bostonians barred from the program entirely, according to the city's own website.

 

Immigrants Lead Boston, run by the Mayor's Office for Immigrant Advancement, is now in its 7th cohort under Mayor Michelle Wu.

 

The program launched under former Mayor Marty Walsh in fall 2020 and has been continued and expanded by the Wu administration.

 

The boston.gov program page states applicants may apply "regardless of their immigration status."

 

That opens the door to green-card holders, DACA recipients, refugees, asylum-seekers, and undocumented residents.

 

The same page states plainly that "Candidates must be Boston residents, immigrants."

 

That means native-born US Bostonians are not eligible to apply.

 

The current fall 2026 course runs September 21 through December 5, with participants selected from applications that were due August 17.

 

Each accepted immigrant receives a $575 scholarship "at the end of the program" for completing the course, per the city.

If that sounds illegal, it's because it is illegal, handing illegals tools to harass the officials elected by the citizens, while barring U.S. citizens and taxpayers from the same.

The news gets worse, the more you read the report:

The curriculum, per boston.gov, includes "civic engagement and community organizing," "public narrative," and "immigration history and topics impacting immigrants, racism, and equity."

 

Indoctrinating illegal migrants who've just stepped off the boat into believing they are victims living in a racist hellhole, all to secure the votes and political power to shake down whitey.

It will be taught by a radical NGO that is focused on anti-ICE protests and deportation defense, and the site boasts of its 'accomplishments' in teaching migrants how to lobby as if they were citizens in a democracy:

The story was surfaced in a September 26 Substack post by investigative reporter Natalie Winters, who reported that the program launched Community Action Project grants of up to $10,000 in 2025 for community organizations partnering with immigrant participants.

 

Winters also named two past graduates who have gone on to advocate for granting driver's licenses to undocumented residents and rent control.

 

 

Now, it's not as if the Justice Department's civil rights chief, the great Harmeet Dhillon, doesn't have her plate full with just California's violations alone. But this disgusting program, which amounts to a foreign bid to undercut U.S. voters and their elected representatives, exclude non-immigrant Bostonians, and render democracy meaningless, really stands out. and I hope her DOJ acts to shut this particular racket down.

Illegals don't have any right to be here, let alone vote, or engage in any way in our political process. Anyone who has participated in this 'scholarship' program, as they like to call it, needs to be first in line for deportation. Cancelling out American voters' votes and harassing elected officials, by whatever means used, is a true destruction of our democracy, as Democrats are so fond of claiming to champion. In reality, they are using illegal means to empower illegals and that is what really destroys our democracy.
