Artificial intelligence (AI) industry leaders, including Nvidia's Jensen Huang, questioned Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei on his warnings about the dangers of the technology, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
AI executives asked Amodei why he was being so extreme in public about AI capabilities and risks, following a lunch in the White House East Room on Tuesday, the report said. Amodei responded by highlighting the importance of honesty with the public about model capabilities and not playing down risks.
The conversation took place with a smaller group of executives and White House aides and advisers in the Roosevelt Room, the report added.
