Disney+ and Hulu are raising streaming prices (again)

 Disney is yet again raising prices for its streaming platforms.

All subscription tiers for Disney+ and Hulu are going to cost more. The price increases take effect Wednesday.

Prices for some of the plans are increasing by as much as $2.50 a month.

The price increases include:

• Disney+ Premium (no ads): increasing from $18.99 to $21.49 per month
• Hulu Premium (no ads): increasing from $18.99 to $21.49 per month
• Disney+/Hulu Premium bundle (no ads): increasing from $19.99 to $21.99 per month
• Disney+ (with ads): increasing from $11.99 to $12.49 per month
• Hulu (with ads): increasing from $11.99 to $12.49 per month
• Disney+/Hulu bundle (with ads): unchanged at $12.99 per month

Variety reports the pricing strategy is aimed at pushing customers toward bundles, since the bundle options now cost only a few dollars more than each service on its own.

Disney is also raising prices on select plans that include ESPN, HBO Max, NFL+ and Hulu with Live TV. For a full list of prices, visit Disney’s website.

Variety said the latest price increases mark the fourth time in four years that Disney has raised its streaming rates.
