Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Tuesday that both Ukraine and the United States want to see "senseless Russian war end before winter."
Zelensky took to Telegram to share more details about his meeting with US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, noting that the two sides discussed "de-escalatory steps that can open the way to diplomacy." The Ukrainian president revealed that Trump did not demand that Ukraine unilaterally stop strikes on Russian energy infrastructure.
However, Zelensky noted that Kyiv and Washington will continue working on launching Patriot interceptor production in Ukraine "should Russia spurn the negotiations and keep betting on ballistic missile terror" against Ukraine.
