The price of crude oil continued to fall on Monday as concerns over the commodity supply eased on increased flows through the Strait of Hormuz and renewed hopes that the Iran crisis could soon come to a resolution after US President Donald Trump indicated he would be "open" to meeting Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during the UN General Assembly.
The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for October settlements fell 4.17% to $96.38 a barrel. Brent for November contracts tumbled 3.92% to $100.47 per barrel.
