Corruption in living color: House committee finds ActBlue a foreign campaign donor's paradise

As if Democrat election-riggings weren't disgusting enough, Democrat donor practices are every bit as bad.

According to Townhall's Amy Curtis:

The House Judiciary Committee, along with the House Administration Committee and the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, released an interim staff report on ActBlue, the Democratic fundraising platform.

 

In that report, the Committees found that ActBlue failed to prevent illegal foreign political contributions, and it's being called an "explosive" insight into the organization's practices.

 

Two years ago, the Committees began investigating ActBlue's fraud-prevention practices. In 2024, ActBlue changed its fraud policy twice during the presidential campaign, reportedly implementing "more lenient" standards that let foreign donors and other suspicious donor money flow into U.S. campaigns.

Earlier this year, The New York Times reported that the organization's lawyers warned that its chief executive had given potentially misleading responses to Republican investigators. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a suit against the organization over its allowing foreign donations and lying about its donation practices.

Here is ActBlue in living color:

Get a load of that email that would accept any claimed U.S. passport number, so long as the right number of spaces were filled in. Anybody doubt word got around with that one?

That has the stench of a racket, organized crime. and every illegal dollar raised went to elect a Democrat, some of whom wouldn't be in office were it not for that sleazy scheme, allowing foreign donors to pay to influence our elections.

As the report said, the House has been on it for a long time, and frustratingly, nothing seems to be done, they just keep doing what they are doing, and free and fair elections be damned, they like dirty and phony ones, like Hugo Chavez used to run. And there haven't been any apologies, either from the organization, or the Democrats who benefitted. And then off they go, pontificating about threats to 'our democracy.' These people aren't even legitimately in office if they took these tainted, foreign donations and now they're busy lecturing us about 'democracy.'

Obviously, America's enemies, and every last foreign government seeking to manipulate the U.S. to their own advantage knew they had a willing partner in the ActBlue vehicle and a friendly 'base' in the Democrat party for the donations to land.

So what is to be done about this fraudy, dirty outfit?

It would be nice to see ActBlue simply shut down under the RICO statutes, but it seems that may be impossible, given the politics. It would be nice to see every election where a Democrat who took tainted dollars declared null and void and a new election held. It would even be nice to see ActBlue be forced to fund Republicans two to one for every violation found. That would get their attention.

But realistically, Republicans can focus on contempt citations for poker-faced witnesses, such as we have seen from this mafia-like outfit. They can pass laws requiring strict photo ID checks for donors, and can ban anonymous prepaid gift cards used as payments.

The FEC regulators can mandate strict ID checks, too (make it bureaucratic because Democrats have already shown why we can't have nice things), as well as require checks against federal databases. The FEC can also audit ActBlue continuously since they can't do anything honestly. Let the bureaucrats breathe down theirt necks with every donation.

Meanwhile, the DOJ can prosecute illegal foreign donations and charge ActBlue officials with lying to Congress wherever such lying may be found. State prosecutors can invoke consumer protections to take out this gamy piratical outfit.

It just doesn't seem like enough, but it's all we've got. Republicans in the meantime can shout from the rooftops about the fraudy fundraising operation, which seems to be a haven for illegal foreign donations. Get them when it's possible to get them, because a blue wave may be coming to Congress and will drown out all signs of representative democratic life in this country. It will be too late.
