The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces reported on Saturday that military aviation operations began in the country's airspace amid Russian drone attacks on Ukraine.
"Ground-based air defense systems and radar reconnaissance systems have reached a state of readiness. These actions are of a preventive nature and are aimed at securing airspace and its protection, especially in areas adjacent to threatened zones," the military wrote in a post on X.
Previously, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk warned that the country's intelligence agencies believe Russia could start hybrid drone and missile strikes against Ukraine's allies, including Poland.
