Riyadh airport said to halt flights after suicide drone

Flights at the King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia's capital city of Riyadh have been suspended after a suicide drone entered Saudi airspace from the direction of Yemen, Iranian semi-official news outlet Fars News reported on Saturday.

According to the report, the exact details concerning the extent of the damage have not yet been released, and Saudi authorities have not yet commented on the incident, but previous reports claimed that a column of black smoke was seen rising from the airport earlier today.

Meanwhile, AFP reported that one of Saudi Aramco's fuel tanks near Riyadh's international airport was on fire, with firefighters seen trying to extinguish the flames.
