United States President Donald Trump announced on Monday that Washington is working on a "massive" deal to purchase potassium-bearing minerals, also known as potash, from Belarus.
"The pricing would be for substantially less than we are currently paying to Canada, very good news for our Farmers and Ranchers," Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
The US president previously signaled that his country could make at least $1.5 trillion annually if it stopped trading with countries with which it has a trade deficit, such as Canada, which he called the "most difficult" and "worst" country to deal with.
