Crude flows through Saudi Arabia's key East-West pipeline have recovered to around 5.5 million barrels per day, Argus Media reported Thursday, citing sources.
This represents nearly 75% of the pipeline's 7 million barrels per day capacity before it was damaged in the attack. The crucial pipeline was targeted last month by drones, which were reported to have been launched from Iraqi territory.
Namely, the East-West pipeline was used as a key route for Saudi Arabia's crude exports, allowing the kingdom to bypass the Strait of Hormuz.
