Athenex to expand clinical operations

Athenex (NASDAQ:ATNX) has strategically expanded its presence in Europe and Latin America to grow its R&D capacity.
These initiatives will enhance Company’s capacity to conduct global clinical studies and support its regional marketing decision process.
Athenex’s oncology-focused pipeline currently has nine clinical candidates, including two drug candidates in Phase III development.
The Company is currently conducting clinical studies in UK to continue expanding its R&D capabilities in the region.

Eyes on Pfizer ahead of update on Duchenne gene therapy

DMD gene therapy players may see some volatility this morning when Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) presents updated data this morning on DMD gene therapy candidate PF-06939926 at the Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy Annual Conference in Orlando, FL.
Gene therapy competitors Sarepta Therapeutics (NASDAQ:SRPT) (up a fraction) and Solid Biosciences (NASDAQ:SLDB) (+11%) are already on the move.

Bristol-Myers extends expiration date for Celgene notes to September 30

Bristol-Myers Squibb (NYSE:BMY) has extended the expiration date of the Exchange Notes offering issued by Celgene (NASDAQ:CELG) for up to $19.85B of new BMY to September 30 from July 8.
The settlement date is expected to occur promptly after the Expiration Date and closing date of the Merger, at the end of 2019 or the beginning of 2020. As a result, the Expiration Date may be further extended one or more times.
