Nvidia Corporation CEO Jensen Huang met with United States Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick in Washington as the US administration investigates possible violations related to Nvidia's chip exports to China, Axios reported on Tuesday, citing sources briefed on the matter.
Huang also met with Democratic Senator Mark Warner, the vice chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, while he is expected to hold meetings with other members of Congress from both the Republican and Democratic parties throughout this week. An Nvidia spokesperson said that Huang is in Washington to "meet with leaders on both sides of the aisle to discuss NVIDIA's work to strengthen the country's supply chain by producing $500B in American technology over four years and American leadership in AI, including leading in open source."
Last week, a spokesperson for the Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security told the same media outlet that a probe had been launched into suspected violations involving the export of Nvidia's Blackwell chips.
