Houthis' military spokesperson Yahya Saree (pictured) reported on Tuesday that the Yemeni militant group launched several ballistic missiles that struck an oil tanker belonging to Saudi Arabia.
"The Armed Forces affirm their continuation in implementing the maritime blockade decision on the Saudi enemy within the equation of siege with siege and comprehensive escalation with comprehensive escalation," Saree said.
The Houthis' spokesperson claimed that the tanker was targeted because it violated the Houthis' maritime navigation ban and ignored the warning calls. He added that the vessel was forced to retreat after being hit by the missiles.
