Israel's National Public Diplomacy Directorate chief Tzipi Hotovely denied reports that Iran's Pickaxe Mountain nuclear facility was discussed during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's closed-door meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday.
"The issue of Pickaxe Mountain was not raised in the Netanyahu-Trump meeting. Reports claiming that Israel came with intelligence information are fake," Hotovely said in a briefing with reporters, according to The Jerusalem Post journalist Amichai Stein.
Pickaxe Mountain is an underground fortified nuclear site under construction near Iran's Natanz nuclear complex, about 220 kilometers south of Tehran. The facility has drawn attention after reports suggested it could store nearly 970 pounds of enriched uranium, while Iranian officials have warned that any attack on the site would prompt a strong response.
