The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) condemned Iranian attacks on Jordan, saying their continuation posed a direct threat to regional security and stability.
“The GCC categorically rejects any aggression that infringes upon the sovereignty of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan or jeopardises its security and the safety of its people,” Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi said in a statement on Monday.
He reaffirmed the full solidarity of GCC member states with Jordan and said they stood firmly by the country in protecting its security, stability and territorial integrity.
