United States President Donald Trump announced on Monday that nine additional pharmaceutical companies agreed to lower their prices as part of his Most Favored Nation drug pricing initiative.
"I'm thrilled to announce a major expansion of one of our signature affordability initiatives ... Nine new pharmaceutical companies are committing to deliver their lowest prices for American patients," Trump said.
The US president stated that 26 companies are now a part of the project, claiming that they account for 90% of the pharmaceutical market.
