Venezuela's acting President Delcy Rodriguez addressed the recent oil agreement with the United States, detailing its parameters and emphasizing that it will safeguard national sovereignty.
During an address on state broadcaster VTV, Rodriguez said that "This 25-year bilateral project envisages the development of 17 strategic oilfields with a production target of more than 1.5 million barrels per day."
"That figure relates solely to the bilateral agreement between Venezuela and the United States," she added. Additional oil rights and oil blocks are part of the broader expansion plan for the country.
