Jordanian air defense systems intercepted eight missiles that entered the country's airspace in early hours on Monday, the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army said, according to the Jordan News Agency.
The military did not immediately specify where the missiles were launched from.
The announcement comes after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it launched missile and drone attacks on two US bases in Jordan in retaliation for the US strike on Larak Island.
