Yemen’s National Resistance Forces, an anti-Houthi force aligned with the internationally recognized government, intercepted a boat in the Red Sea carrying military equipment from Iran to the Houthis, including components used to manufacture and develop attack drones, Al Hadath reported on Sunday.
The force’s military media said the operation took place on Aug. 24 after intelligence monitoring of maritime smuggling networks it said were directly linked to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards.
The seized cargo included drone control systems, guidance equipment, live-video transmission devices, fuel-injection electronics and communications equipment, according to the report.
Al Hadath said preliminary questioning of the boat’s crew also yielded information about alleged coordination and smuggling routes established by the Revolutionary Guards.
