SpaceX founder Elon Musk said the company is likely to mimic Anthropic's approach to third-party evaluators, after the Claude maker announced it started giving employee-like access to a team from METR.
Anthropic said it onboarded six employees of the nonprofit AI model evaluator with company hardware, office space, and "access to internal tools and systems that are roughly on par with what our own risk assessment teams have access to." The statement noted that Anthropic employees "are encouraged to share information with them just as they would with a fellow employee working on alignment risk." Anthropic also said it's working on several other evaluator partnerships, with three tiers of access planned.
"SpaceX will probably do the same," Musk said in a brief post on X, replying to Anthropic's Thursday update.
