Preparations for the 2027 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia are proceeding on schedule despite recent attacks in the kingdom, the tournament’s local organizing committee said on Friday.
The committee said work on venues, facilities and supporting services remained on track for the tournament to run from January 7 to February 5, 2027.
The Asian Football Confederation said earlier this week it was in “no hurry” to decide whether the tournament would need to be postponed.
