Polish envoys to China, Jakob Kumoch, and Romania, Pawel Soloch, resigned amid a crisis that erupted after Prime Minister Donald Tusk suspended the president of the country's Constitutional Tribunal, a move some have described as a coup attempt.
Kumoch and Soloch said they cannot continue to serve as ambassadors due to the ongoing situation in Poland. In addition, Soloch described Tusk's decision as an attempt at an "unlawful" takeover of the Constitutional Tribunal.
In the meantime, Polish President Karol Nawrocki entered the court building in Warsaw with his aides and the First President of the Supreme Court.
