Zelensky says Oleshky evacuees cross into Ukraine

 Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said people evacuated from Russian-occupied Oleshky and the surrounding area in the Kherson region had crossed the Ukrainian border in the Chernihiv region following a humanitarian operation.

Writing on X, Zelensky said a ceasefire in Kherson allowed roads to Oleshky to be cleared of mines and humanitarian aid to be delivered. "We hope humanitarian access to Oleshky will remain open," he said.

Zelensky also thanked United States First Lady Melania Trump and the American side for their mediation.
