Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Saturday that Kyiv and Ankara will expand their energy cooperation, with first deliveries of Turkish generators and energy equipment to Ukraine expected as soon as next week.
"We are preparing new joint industrial and other economic projects. The Free Trade Agreement between our countries has entered into force, opening up new opportunities for Ukrainian and Turkish businesses," Zelensky wrote on X after he met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul.
Zelensky thanked Erdogan for his "readiness" to support all ideas which can help achieve a peaceful settlement with Russia.
