Iran has been firing missiles at fellow Muslim countries but has not launched any at Israel recently, a pattern that could push Arab states to support renewed military action against Tehran, former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said.
“They haven't fired a missile into Israel in a long time and they're now taking out assets of their fellow Muslim brothers,” Pompeo said in an interview with Al Arabiya, which the broadcaster published on X on Friday.
He argued that Arab countries in the Persian Gulf increasingly recognized Tehran's unwillingness to change its behavior and could support a sustained US-Israeli military campaign against Iran more actively than during previous operations.
