IRGC-affiliated Fars News on Friday listed major energy facilities in the Persian Gulf region and Israel as possible targets for Iranian retaliation, warning that the sites are within range of Tehran’s missiles amid rising tensions with the United States.
The report named Saudi Arabia’s Ghawar oil field, Abqaiq and Khurais facilities, the UAE’s Ruwais refinery and Zakum oil field, Qatar’s North Field and Ras Laffan LNG facilities, Kuwait’s Burgan oil field, Bahrain’s Sitra refinery and Israel’s Leviathan and Tamar gas fields.
The IRGC-affiliated outlet also referred to previous attacks during the conflict, adding that after Iran’s South Pars gas facilities were targeted, Tehran responded by striking Qatar’s Ras Laffan gas facilities.
