United States President Donald Trump addressed ongoing defense discussions with Ukraine during his cabinet remarks on Friday, expressing significant skepticism regarding the potential transfer of more missiles and drone technology to Kyiv.
Trump specifically addressed the idea that Ukraine would produce Patriot missile defense systems domestically, saying that Washington has to be "careful" about letting other countries make the US weapons, including Tomahawk cruise missiles.
Confirming that no deal has been reached so far with Kyiv on the matter, he stressed, "I don't think this would ever happen. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky foreshadowed a possible agreement with Lockheed Martin that could involve Patriot systems.
