'Zelensky unveils eight-country cooperation plan'

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Monday that the new Carpathian Initiative will be launched in the fall, bringing together eight countries to cooperate on security, economic development, and Ukraine's recovery.

"Because not all countries are ready to strengthen us with weapons, but they do want to stand with us on the humanitarian and security tracks and in the economic sphere," Zelensky wrote on X. "It is about logistics, the economy, and security. We also saw culture and future tourism as part of it," he added.

Zelensky said the European Union had given a "positive signal" regarding the initiative. The proposed group includes Ukraine, Romania, Austria, Serbia, Hungary, Poland, Czechia, and Slovakia. "This initiative is something around which all of us can unite," he stated. Meanwhile, Zelensky revealed that "relevant documents" are being prepared by American and Ukrainian missile companies to expand cooperation.
