Alphabet Inc.'s Google announced on Wednesday that its AI-powered video communication platform, Google Beam, is expanding to six countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, France, Germany and Japan.
Google Beam will also be available at Industrious Coworking locations from October, starting in Atlanta, Chicago, New York City and Palo Alto. Beam's first global users include Netflix and Capital Group, according to the company's website. Previously, Google's CEO Sundar Pichai said during the company's I/O developer conference that this "state-of-the-art" video model transforms 2D video streams into a realistic 3D experience.
"Through extensive internal testing at Google, we've learned how transformative Beam can be for areas like recruiting, talent development, and cross-functional collaboration," Google published.
