'EU seeks more ships to make Red Sea mission operational'

 

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said on Monday that the bloc needed more ships for its Red Sea naval mission, Aspides, to become operational.

Speaking before a meeting of EU defense ministers in Brussels, she said she had urged member states to contribute but had received no new firm commitments.
