United States Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Sunday that Iran's economy "will probably collapse within the next two weeks."
"There are only 15 million more barrels of Iranian oil on the water. Iran will have nothing left to trade for anything," Bessent told Fox News, adding that this is the reason Tehran is seeking a deal with the US.
The secretary claimed that the US shut down three banks and targeted crypto wallets related to Iran, adding that Iran's airlines "are isolated from the world" due to the US economic sanctions. "They are on their knees," Bessent concluded.
