United States President Donald Trump commented on the major incident near the UK's RAF Fairford, which hosts US troops, stressing that the arrest of five men suspected of preparing a terrorist act was "fantastic."
"Working with Britain was an amazing job. We had them under investigation," the president told reporters upon arriving in Chicago, adding that the suspects "were looking to do big damage" to US forces.
British police previously revealed that five individuals were arrested and held in custody on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act near the air base.
