US denies Iran destroyed its F-35 jets

 The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) denied on Thursday that Iran destroyed its F-35 fighter jets.

"No U.S. aircraft were destroyed or damaged in recent attempted Iranian attacks. All missiles and drones were intercepted or failed to reach targeted areas," the military said in a post on X. It also denied previous Iranian claims that a commercial oil tanker managed to breach the US naval blockade. "The commercial vessel has not broken through America's steel wall blockade. More than 20 U.S. warships, hundreds of aircraft, and thousands of service members remain vigilant and continue to fully enforce the blockade," it said.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) earlier claimed it destroyed three US F-35 jets and damaged another three in its latest strike on the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Azraq, Jordan.
